Creating WordPress menu is as simple as making an instant coffee. In our last tutorial, you learned how to create a WordPress menu.  You also learned how to open the menu element in new tab. In this tutorial, you will be learning about using the custom link in your WordPress menu.

For an example, you have a website, let’s say mywebsite.com and you have a blog website that is used just for your blogs, let’s say myblog.com. And instead of creating a new blog in your website i.e. mywebsite.com, you’d like to keep your blog website i.e. myblog.com in the menu. Your blog URL is an external link for your website. So, to add myblog.com in the menu, follow the steps below.

Step 1: Go to Appearance> Menus

Step 2: Click on the Links.

Step 3: Put the desired link, in this case myblog.com, in URL and in Link Text, write the name for which it will be shown as in the menu, let’s say Blog.add-custom-link-in-wordpress-menu

Step 4: Click on Save Menu.

Now you have a custom link in your WordPress menu.
